Good Bye DDD - June 7, 2018
David Douglas Duncan, as photojournalist covered wars on the side of Tim Page, Larry Burrows.
He was close to Picasso too.
I met him thanks to Pierre Boulat. He became for me a benevolent protective, always giving me encouragement.
Two years ago, DDD introduced me to H.E Fareed Yasseen -Iraq's ambassador to the USA- who introduced me to the Iranian deputy ambassador in Paris, Mohamad Safaei, who introduced me to H.E Gholamali Khoshroo -ambassador of Iran to UNO-, who made my dream reality to exhibit Georg Gerster's aerial photographs in Tehran first, then in Esfahan, Kashan and recently in Tabriz.
Beside this amazing intercultural maze, DDD was a well of tenderness.
